Bio

Dr Boitumelo Mashigo is a physician and nephrologist. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2014. She subsequently completed her internship at Helen Joseph Hospital, followed by her community service at Seshego Hospital in Limpopo, her home province. She pursued specialist training in Internal Medicine at Tygerberg Hospital with Stellenbosch University, obtaining her specialist qualifications Fellowship of the College of Physicians (FCP) and master of medicine.

Following her specialist training in Internal Medicine, Dr Mashigo pursued subspecialist training in Nephrology at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital. She has experience in the management of patients with complex kidney disease and renal replacement therapy, including both haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Dr Mashigo is a dedicated and compassionate physician who is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centred care.
