Originally from East London, Eastern Cape. Dr Bongani Socutshana’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine (MBChB) and surgery from the University of Limpopo (Medunsa), a Master of Medicine (MMed) in orthopaedics from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University and a Fellowship of the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of South Africa. He has gained considerable expertise in managing a wide range of paediatric orthopaedic conditions, including congenital and developmental disorders (e.g., Clubfoot, Hip dysplasia), paediatric fractures, limb deformities, and neuromuscular conditions such as cerebral palsy. He is Fellowship-trained in paediatric orthopaedics from Steve Biko Academic Hospital, under the mentorship of Prof. Ruan Goller, a renowned paediatric orthopaedic surgeon in Pretoria and South Africa. Dr Bongani Socutshana is passionate about improving functional outcomes and quality of life for children with orthopaedic needs and has actively contributed to teaching, mentorship, and research in paediatric orthopaedics.
