Bio

Dr Veerasamy is a Fellow of the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of South Africa, having qualified in 2009 under the guidance of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, headed by Prof S. Govender. Having served as Head of the Department of Orthopaedics at RK Khan Hospital, he gained extensive experience which he now applies in his private practice. His fields of expertise include shoulder surgery, sports injuries including ligament injuries of the knee, pelvic and acetabular trauma, deformity correction using Ilizarov-type frames, knee and hip arthroplasty, and MAKO robotic surgery. In his spare time, Dr Veerasamy enjoys 4x4 activities, fishing and travelling. He also cycles to keep fit and has competed in several major cycling events, including the Amashova, 94.7 Cycle Challenge and Cape Town Cycle Tour.
