Bio

Dr Smart qualified at University of Cape Town in 1986 and completed speciality training as a Urologist at Wits University in 1995. He has extensive experience in clinical trials of new technologies and drugs, and has been a visiting lecturer in Urology in over 12 countries worldwide. He is an Examiner of the College of Urologists, and has been on the Executive Committee of the South African Urological Association (SAUA) for 15 years. He was President of the SAUA for three years. Dr Smart has rooms in Howick and has been operating at the Howick hospital since it first opened.
