Bio

Dr. Eduardo Matediana is a renowned gynecologist and obstetrician in Mozambique with over 30 years of experience in maternal and reproductive health. He graduated in medicine from the Faculty of Medicine at Eduardo Mondlane University in Maputo. He has held leadership positions at the Maputo Military Hospital and the Beira Central Hospital and is currently the clinical director of Lenmed Private Hospital in Beira. From 1993 to 2022, he was the Director of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Program at the Beira Central Hospital, contributing to the training of several Mozambican physicians. He is a founding member of the Mozambican Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AMOG) and a member of the College of Gynecology and Obstetrics of Eastern, Central and Southern Africa (ECSACOG). In 2024, he began his training in laparoscopy and hysteroscopy at Lenmed Private Hospital Ahmed Kathrada in South Africa.
