Bio

Dr de Wet attended medical school at Wits University. He then completed an internship at Baragwanath Hospital, followed by community service at Edendale Hospital. He then commenced his orthopaedic training and rotations and has remained in the orthopaedic field. He completed and qualified as a specialist orthopaedic surgeon in 2011. He worked in government practice in Pietermaritzburg between 2011 and 2017. During this time, he served for an extended period as Head of the Department of Orthopaedics at Edendale Hospital. He entered private practice in June 2017 and is part of a large and well-established orthopaedic team.
