Bio

Dr Mbongi Mpanza is a physician and oncologist with an extensive clinical and academic background.
He completed his medical degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, followed by specialist training in internal medicine, obtaining his Master of Medicine (MMed) from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits).
He subsequently completed his training in medical oncology at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH) in collaboration with Wits. Dr Mpanza has extensive experience in the screening, diagnosis and management of complex medical conditions, applying the latest evidence-based approaches to patient care. His oncology expertise encompasses the management of a broad range of solid-organ cancers as well as haematological malignancies. His approach to patient care is patient-centred, holistic and evidence-driven, with a strong focus on delivering comprehensive and individualised treatment. Dr Mpanza has a particular interest in the management of haematological malignancies, including the treatment of patients requiring stem cell transplantation.
