Bio

Dr Mlimi is a general, laparoscopic, upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgeon based at Lenmed Zamokuhle Private Hospital. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from the University of Limpopo (MEDUNSA) in 2012 and completed his internship and community service at Witbank Provincial Hospital and Mamelodi Regional Hospital, respectively. Dr Mlimi completed his specialist surgical training at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, where he obtained the Fellowship of the College of Surgeons of South Africa (FCS(SA) and later a Master of Medicine (MMed) in General Surgery.

He served as a consultant in the minimal-visceral and metabolic & bariatric surgery unit at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital, a high-volume centre recognised for advanced minimally invasive and metabolic surgery.
