Bio

Dr. Pedro Santos has been a licensed physician at Eduardo Mondlane University since 2004. He began his professional career in Mocímboa da Praia, where he worked until 2007. In 2008, he began his specialization in general surgery at Maputo Central Hospital, completing his training in 2009.

Between 2010 and 2013, he specialized in plastic surgery, with a two-year internship in Brazil, where he worked at the National Cancer Institute and Pedro Ernesto University Hospital in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He worked under the guidance of several specialists in the field. He complemented his training with international internships in India, Tanzania, Ireland, and Scotland.

He worked at Matola Provincial Hospital until 2024, where he played an active role
in the development of a platform using information technologies and smart glasses, in collaboration with a North American organization. Since 2017, he has been an associate member of the College of Surgeons
of Eastern, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA). Currently, Dr. PedrovSantos provides consultations in the neurosurgery and emergency department at the Private Hospital.
