Born and bred in the North West Province, originally from Kanana, a township near Klerksdorp. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) with the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Then proceeded to do her internship at Leratong Hospital in Krugersdorp & community service in Klerksdorp-Tshepong Complex. She worked in several hospitals to gain experience in Paediatrics, as she’d always known she wanted to work with children.
Dr Dlamini completed her specialist training at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, which is affiliated with the University of the Witwatersrand.
