The Bank Hospital makes history with first private kidney transplant surgery in Ghana

Dr. Charlotte Osafo, Medical Director of The Bank Hospital, led the team of medical experts comprising nephrologists and a group of transplant surgeons from India. The technique used on the donors was laparoscopic surgery, commonly referred to as keyhole surgery. This cutting-edge surgical technique is minimally invasive, meaning it eliminates the need for extensive skin incisions during surgery.
