New 8-Bedded Trauma ICU Now Open, Offering Advanced Critical Care for Life-Threatening Injuries

Durban, KwaZulu-Natal September 2024 – Lenmed Ethekwini Hospital and Heart Centre is proud to announce the opening of its state-of-the-art Trauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the first of its kind in a private healthcare facility in KwaZulu-Natal. The newly opened Trauma ICU features eight beds, with an advanced isolation cubicle specifically designed to handle burn cases, providing specialized care in a controlled environment. The unit is equipped with cutting-edge technology and staffed by a team of highly trained ICU nurses, each with extensive experience in trauma and critical care.
