Lenmed Group proud to be medical sponsor of the 28th Soweto Marathon
November 2023 – The Lenmed Group is excited to announce its proud participation as the official medical sponsor of the Soweto Marathon, fondly known as “the people’s race”, to take place on Sunday, 5 November 2023 at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Soweto. This sponsorship reflects the hospital group’s commitment to supporting the health and prosperity of the communities and the athletes participating in this prestigious event.
With the 2023 race theme being “Daring to run your own race,” Lenmed looks forward to partnering with other sponsors to promote the importance of physical activity and the positive impact that the historical Soweto Marathon has on the health and well-being of individuals. The hospital group’s experienced medical staff will be at designated medical stations to address any medical concerns and emergencies that may arise and to help ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
With the Soweto Marathon being South Africa’s biggest one-day road race in 2022 and having previously attracted up to 40 000 participants, the race remains a highlight on the calendar for many runners, not only from a recreational or competitive perspective but also from a historical and patriotic perspective.
